Good Dog Manners

There are three levels of Agility

	Beginners Agility
	Intermediate Agility
	Advanced Agility

Please read requirements to the right for all classes

This is a positive reinforcement training class. Like people, dogs work best when they are rewarded for a job well done. Dogs gain confidence as they learn new skills and improve old skills. Agility builds a strong bond between handler and dog when trained with a positive gentle method. Dogs love agility.

Beginners Agility

Dogs and Puppies that are eligible for this class are as follows:

	Completed a basic obedience class
	In good health and be physically able to perform.
	Current on vaccinations

Dogs and handlers will learn the following equipment:

	Tunnel
	Jumps
	Chute
	Contacts (walk, A-frame and teeter)
	Weaves.

Intermediate Agility

Dogs that are eligible for this class are as follows:

	Have completed Beginners Agility or have been tested by instructor
	Good health and be physically able to perform
	Current on vaccinations

Intermediate classes continue to focus on the dog's confidence and the handler's skills by working exercises that require focus and concentration. Special attention is paid to handling techniques and problem solving. Intermediate classes are not divided into levels. A team may continue to work intermediate indefinitely or move up to advance when the team is ready.

Advanced Agility

Dogs that are eligible for this class are as follows:

Have completed:

	Beginners Agility
	Intermediated Agility
	or have been tested by instructor

Good health and be physically able to perform

Current on vaccinations

Advance classes start distance work and refinement of the team. This class is not a divided into levels. A team may work advanced indefinitely.

Tip

Be a good owner/guardian. Make sure your dog has a proper diet, exercise (both physical and mental), and positive interactions with you.

Bring to Agility Classes:

	Lots of soft treats
	A hungry dog
	Pockets or a treat bag to put treats in
	Dogs favorite toys
	6 foot web leash
	Dogs are to ware a flat collar
	water and bowl for your dog
	water for yourself
	insect repellent
	Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe athlete shoes to class

Requirements:

	Bring proof of current vaccinations to the first class.
	Dogs must be in good health.
	For registration and class start dates go to the Schedule
	Please Do Not feed your dog before class.
	Limited class size.
	Sessions are one hour a week for 7 weeks: cost is $85.00.
