About us

Diann’s lifetime love of dogs has lead to a career in dog training.

She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers; in 2003 Diann started attending APDT's annual five-day educational conference in Orlando, Florida; Denver, Colorado; San Jose, California; Kansas City, Missouri, and Portland, Oregon, etc.  Diann is a certified  Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (cpdt-ka)  and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator.

Diann has been doing private in-home family dog training in basic manners and problem-solving in Polk County since 2002.  She believes in giving back to the community in the form of voluntary work, much of which has been with the SPCA ,4-H Dog Program of Polk County, Humane Society of Polk County and Alliance Therapy Dogs.

Her sensitivity to a dog’s personality and temperament, plus positive reward-based training methods, leads to a gratifying experience for both people and their dogs.
There are three main elements in Diann’s program:

1) training by reinforcing appropriate behaviors,
2) management to prevent the repetition of inappropriate behaviors,

3) relationship-building between owners and their dogs.
